Like a Sister

The girls each had a friend over today. Sasha was hanging out with her friend, Halia, who lives a couple doors down from her dad. Halia, Erika and Sasha have known each other since kindergarden and they've spent lots of time together. Halia wanted to cook so she and Sasha made meatloaf and mashed potatoes for dinner. I helped with the veggies. We were all sitting and eating dinner and I commented that the meatloaf was pretty good. Sasha said that it was different than she expected ("mushier"). Sasha asked Halia if she liked meatloaf and Halie said "not really". I asked Halia why she made meatloaf if she didn't like it. Her totally deadpan response was "well so that we could make something that Erika [who's decided she wants to be vegetarian] can't eat."
